Welcome to Roopalee Handicrafts a place where tradition, craftsmanship, and culture come together in every stitch.
Our story began in 1973 in the vibrant town of Mandvi, Kutch, when Shri Vinodbhai Doshi laid the foundation of Roopalee with a vision to keep the rich art of Kutchi handicrafts alive. Inspired by the hard work and values of the generations before him, he transformed a humble shop into a thriving space for authentic, handmade products. Today, the legacy continues with the 4th generation of the Doshi family, led by Shri Dipeshbhai Doshi, who remains dedicated to preserving this art form while bringing it to modern homes.
At Roopalee, we collaborate with skilled local artisans to create a wide range of handcrafted items from hand-embroidered shawls, bandhani sarees and dresses, and kurtis, to bedsheets, kaftans, and more. Every piece is thoughtfully made, combining traditional techniques with timeless designs that reflect the vibrant spirit of Kutch.
Over the last 50 years, Roopalee has grown into a name trusted by customers across India. Whether you visit us in Mandvi or shop with us online, we’re committed to offering products that are not only beautiful but also carry the soul of our culture.
We’re proud to be a part of your journey in embracing Indian craftsmanship one handcrafted piece at a time.
Rooted in tradition. Driven by purpose. Crafted with care.
We begin by selecting high-quality, sustainable fabrics—often handwoven and naturally dyed. Our materials reflect the earthy beauty and integrity of Kutch’s craft traditions.
We work directly with skilled artisans from nearby villages, many of whom have practiced these crafts for generations. Their expertise in embroidery, mirror work, and intricate stitching forms the soul of every Roopalee piece.
Each item is made by hand using age-old techniques passed down through families. This not only preserves heritage but ensures every piece is unique and deeply personal.
